What is the Easter Egg Hunt at Richland?
Richland’s Easter Egg Hunt is a tradition where many children (any ages) come together at the church and search for hidden eggs, filled with candy! We are blessed with 3-4 acres of land to hide dozens of eggs for this event.
Is there free parking?
Yes! All our events offer free parking in our parking lot.

What is a Living Nativity?
Richland’s Living Nativity is a unique experience depicting the Christmas story. Live actors & animals allow you to experience what it would have been like to travel to Bethlehem to see where Jesus was born
Who will be there?
Hear from the shepherds & a tax collector on your way to Bethlehem. Then Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus. And see live animals up close along the way (pet them if you’d like)! Finally you’ll be blessed the angel.
What should I do when I arrive?
Upon arriving, please begin at the entrance of Richland Church by first completing the sign in form and receiving your materials for your journey. A water, small gift, and Richland Church info is included in your visit as well.
Who can attend?
Anyone! Over 100 attendees came last year and this year there are 2 nights to choose from. Friday Dec. 17th or Saturday Dec. 18th between 4-7pm. And yes you can come both nights!
What to Expect?
This Living Nativity Experience is approx. .25mile walk around the Richland Church property mostly on grass. Snow is always a possibility, but the walking path will be cleared and made as walkable as possible. It is mostly all flat except for a small incline towards the end on a gravel driveway. If you have mobility limitations, but would still like to attend, please email us to make accommodations.

What is Trunk or Treating?
Think Trick or Treating but in a parking lot filled with cars who have decorated their car trunks with family friendly Halloween themes. We will have over 15 cars filled with candy! Any ages welcome.
What to do when arriving?
Upon arriving you may park in the Richland UMC parking lot or a nearby neighborhood. Our parking lot capacity is 52 spaces so will have plenty of room. Then start anywhere you would like and start collecting candy!
What Themes will there be this year?
Superheros, OU Bobcat Football, and more!
COVID Precautions?
This is an outdoor event that includes pre packaged candy and low contact between those passing out candy and those receiving.
What is a Spaghetti Dinner?
This event is hosted in the Richland Fellowship Hall and delicious spaghetti is served! Along with salad, garlic bread, drinks, and dessert.
Is it free?
Yes. Donations are accepted, but not required.
Where do the donations go?
These dinners help fund various church ministries and events such as the Living Nativity, Vacation Bible School, and Mission Work.
When is the next spaghetti dinner?
These dinners are hosted about 6-8 times a year. Check this page or our Facebook Page for details on the next spaghetti dinner.
What is Fall Festival?
This annual event is a time to gather together to celebrate Fall and everything that God has done throughout the first 9months of the year.
Can anyone join?
Yes. This event is open to anyone. We normally have 50% church members and 50% non-church members.
Is there food?
Yes! Lots of food, drinks, and a pie baking contest. Feel free to bring an item potluck style or enjoy the meal provided.
Can kids attend?
Yes! There are many activities for children. Yard games, cornhole, jump rope, and lots of room to play.
What is the Easter Egg Hunt?
This event includes a classic Easter Egg Hunt on the Richland Church property (approx. 4 acres). But also included is a time to share the true story of Easter and Jesus’ resurrection. We greatly value children and believe children should hear the amazing story of Jesus and that God is a trusting, faithful, and loving God.
How does this all happen?
Children and families arrive. Every is organized to ensure everyone finds some hidden Easter eggs filled with candy. Then after all the eggs are found we gather to share a quick message about Jesus.

What is the Bless the Backpacks Event?
This event takes place one Sunday before kids return to school in the Fall. Pastor Lyndsey gives a special message for the kids, parents, and teachers. Kids can bring their backpacks and receive a special blessing during the service.
What is Vacation Bible School at Richland?
VBS is a multiday event that focuses on education and fun for your kids! We teach foundation Christian beliefs in fun and interactive ways such as using games, arts & crafts, music, drama plays, and more!
Is registration required?
We do ask that those planning on attending register so groups and the appropriate amount of food can be prepared.

What is the Richland Thanksgiving Dinner?
This meal celebrates Thanksgiving and everything we are thankful for.
Do I need to bring anything?
Only if you’d like to! We will have Turkey, Ham, Rolls, Desserts, and all the traditional Thanksgiving meal sides.
Do I need to be attending Richland to attend this dinner?
No. Anyone can join!
