What is a Living Nativity?

Richland’s Living Nativity is a unique experience depicting the Christmas story. Live actors & animals allow you to experience what it would have been like to travel to Bethlehem to see where Jesus was born

Who will be there?

Hear from the shepherds & a tax collector on your way to Bethlehem. Then Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus. And see live animals up close along the way (pet them if you’d like)! Finally you’ll be blessed the angel.

What should I do when I arrive?

Upon arriving, please begin at the entrance of Richland Church by first completing the sign in form and receiving your materials for your journey. A water, small gift, and Richland Church info is included in your visit as well.

Who can attend?

Anyone! Over 100 attendees came last year and this year there are 2 nights to choose from. Friday Dec. 17th or Saturday Dec. 18th between 4-7pm. And yes you can come both nights!

What to Expect?

This Living Nativity Experience is approx. .25mile walk around the Richland Church property mostly on grass. Snow is always a possibility, but the walking path will be cleared and made as walkable as possible. It is mostly all flat except for a small incline towards the end on a gravel driveway. If you have mobility limitations, but would still like to attend, please email us to make accommodations.

This Christmas season, immerse yourself in the Living Nativity and let the story of Jesus transform you!
